Southern Military Research Center

The truck dropped Kotaro off at the front entrance of the abandoned research center. Kotaro walked toward the front door and walked inside. Just find the documents and your home free. Kotaro entered a large room. It looked like the main research hub. Kotaro started searching desks till he found the research journal. "There we go." Kotaro flinched as he heard a sound come from the nearby room. He approached it slowly. A man suddenly burst from it, mouth dripping blood. He tackled Kotaro to the ground. "Son of a-" Kotaro punched the man off him. He quickly shot the man with Zero and ran back outside. He jumped into the truck. "Drive!" Kotaro was driven out of there.

Kotaro returned to the research base after weeks of contemplation. There was something wrong with the human chimera he had seen. It was more animal then human. He walked inside, heading toward the right. He reached the hollow wall and punched through it, his anger fueling his strength. He ripped his way through the wall and continued down the hidden passageway. There was something the military didn't want him to see here.

He gritted his teeth as he reached the door at the end of the tunnel. He forced it open and walked through it. What he saw made his heart stop and his anger rise tenfold.It was another lab full of orange cloning tubes, each one had a chimera inside. The body of a human, yet had features of the animals. The electricity was still on, so there had been recent activity here. He walked up to the main computer. "Show me file footage of all the specimens."

Granted.

Multiple videos from the cameras popped up on the monitor. What he saw was horrifying. It was barbaric. It was completely inhuman. First they captured civilians. These weren't volunteer, he could tell from their screams for help. They then alchemicaly merged the 2 bodies together, making a human chimera, but they did other things as well. They added a chemical to the formula. It began to lower certain chimera's intelligence. They then cut off the fingers of those same chimera, making it so they couldn't grasp anything. What are they doing!

Kotaro watched as they turned human beings into animals. What was worse was they made them into pets. They had changed these ones on purpose to be pets! Kotaro was about to explode. They still looked human, sure they had small features of animals but still human, but they acted and sounded like animals. Then it cut to another camera. Kotaro watched 5 seconds of this one before he couldn't take it anymore. What they were doing was...was...

"AAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!" Kotaro roared and smashed the monitor. He ran through the whole base, destrying everything he could get his hands on. He destroyed the monitors, the data, the walls. The only things he couldn't break were the tubes. The tubes carrying a chimera in each one. The human chimera's. The military's pets. Their toys. Their slaves. Kotaro fell to his knees in the middle of the tubes. He couldn't take something like this. He had no more tears to shed. He just lay in the middle of the tubes, silent and numb.

After the silent alarm sounded, the military raced to reach the research base. They needed all they could get. They needed a weapon. They needed someone to kill whoever had infiltrated the base. But they didn't know who. They surrounded the base until something could be thought up.

Renee arrived at the base, armed with a new weapon of her creation. It was a single hand shotgun, great for close shots. As she arrived, the Military Lieutenant who accompanied her blew his whistle again. No one but Renee could hear it, and whenever it was blown, she would go into a trance and do whatever she was told.

"Kill the intruder."

Renee's eyes slitted. She had her shotgun, two pistols, and a hidden knife. She shoved past the other soldiers. A soldier ran up to the Lieutenant.

"Are you sure SHE can handle it?"

The Lieutenant smiled. "For 10 minutes, she will hunt it down and try to kill it. After 10 minutes, we can kill both if needed."

Kotaro continued to stare blankly at the the tubes of chimera. His eyes had an empty look in them, as if something had been yanked out of him. He could not speak, not even make a sound. His mind had snapped,and he was virtually asleep.

Renee explored the area, trying to find said intruder. She came across the secret passage and advanced through it, unaware of the sounds she was making

Kotaro paid no attention to the sounds Renee made. He was practically unconscious. The only slight movement was the glimmering in his eyes.

Renee then saw Kotaro. She didn't even think about it. She took out her pistol, and fired a warning shot, it touching the hairs on Kotaro's back neck as the sound rang throughout the room.

Kotaro didn't even flinch. He turned his head slowly to meet her eyes. A deep sadness was in his eyes. So deep he felt he could never escape from it. "....Do it Renee...." He said. He knew she wasn't normal right now. And it was perfect. "Please......if your going to shoot me.....just do it." He just hoped she wouldn't remember him.

Renee walked up to Kotaro, her Single Hand Shotgun in her hand. She placed the two barrels right beside Kotaro's head, on his temples. She slowly begun to pull the trigger.

Kotaro closed his eyes as he waited for the sudden blast to come. No tears went down his eyes, instead there was a numbness to him that was scarier then tears. It was if he had given up, had decided he couldn't do anything.

Renee pulled the trigger, firing off the shotgun.

Kotaro clenched his fists together at the sound of the blast. But he didn't feel anything. Was he dead? He opened his eyes to see the shot had been shot in front of him. She had missed? He couldn't speak.

Renee's hand was shaking. The shotgun was aimed away from him as Renee cried, her eyes covered with her free hand. It had been 11 minutes since the order was issued.

Renee was traumatized to find she almost killed Kotaro, her own brother. She slowly backed away, dropping the shotgun as she fell to her knees and covered her eyes with both her hands, sobbing.

"B-b-brother........" She manage to say through the sobs. "I-im... s-s-s-o.... SORRRRRRY!!!!"

Renee began to sob harder then before. Her emotions were beginning to get out of control

Kotaro sat there poised for a couple moments, unable to contradict what had happened. When she started to break down it broke him out of the depressed trance. He crawled over to her and hugged her tightly. "It's ok...its ok..."

Renee wrapped her arms around Kotaro and also hugs him tightly.

"But..... I just tried to kill you.....!"

"It doesn't matter." He had to make sure she was fine. "It's all right sis."

Nero enters the research base. His job was to investigate the happenings there. As he enters the building he heres crying. He heads toward the area and sees 2 people hugging. " Hey. Whats going on in here?"

Renee didn't notice Nero as he entered. She was feeling too sleepy to notice.

Kotaro held Renee close as Nero walked in. He looked like a traveler, but the star on his shoulder portrayed him as a military captain. Great "Renee, we might have to try something drastic if this guys hostile."

“If anyone is military than state your name and rank.” Nero then picked up a shell of the ground.

Renee sniffled.

"Renee. Soldier/gun maker."

Kotaro glared at the man. "I'm not military, so you won't hear from me." If this man knew that Renee was supposed to kill Kotaro, he might hurt her for failing. He moved Renee so she was behind him, protected from attack.

Nero was surprised that kotaro was protecting renee. “Why so jumpy? All i want to know is whats going on.”

Renee was a little surprised when Kotaro moved her behind him. She was about to kill him, and he still wished to protect her? She stopped crying and wiped away the tears. She was ready to attack if needed.

Kotaro didn't stop glaring at the man. "You came in here to find the intruder right? Well here I am."

He moved a bit closer to Renee and whispered in her ear. "Don't look in the orange tubes Renee. I don't want you to see what I have."
