Kotaro gave a shrug. "We are more like family. I treat her like a little sister and she acts as if i'm an older brother."

Renee smiled, ruffling his hair.

"Thats cool ^^ I just wanted to know is all."

Renee then tapped his shoulder, looking at Resha.

"I believe we should get him fixed up, Resha ^^"

Resha just listened to their little chit chat and found it a relief. She liked that they were doing better now.

They were going to have normal lives, and she was glad for that. But now, she's back here and she won't be allowed to go out again.

She grinned at Renee. "Yeah!" she made a peace sign. "I'll get Kotaro fixed up in no time! Now that I am allowed not to hold back with my medical thingies!" She tried to keep her cheery attitude, not wanting to ruin the fun atmosphere.

"And Renee," she pinched her cheeks. "I'm your personal doctor now too, so if you're feeling even the slightest mishap, you report to me immediately, okay? I'll always be here." ....Always.

Maybe brother leaving me behind really has more meaning than I thought. She thought as she hid her shaking hands at her back, hoping no one would notice. She had to patch up Kotaro first and come back to the superiors to discuss about her constant disappearance.

Kotaro nodded at Resha smiling. "I would like to be able to use them again." Kotaro waited for Resha to begin the treatment, getting ready to follow her to a room to fix his arms.

She walked faster, going ahead. "No problem," she grinned. "Except, it wouldn't be so painless... sorry."

Kotaro sighed and nodded. "I can handle the pain. This isn't the first time my arms were rendered useless." Kotaro continued to follow Resha.

"I'm sure," she said as she continued to walk. "But as a doctor, I have to warn you. It's protocol," she explained as she entered an operating room. There were three huge tubes where chimera was displayed in liquid.

"And don't mind them," she said, referring to the chimeras. "But yes, I know. It's not the first time you've seen chimeras." she smiled at him. "Saying that is just a habit of mine."

Kotaro nodded as he passed the tanks. He knew the military was using chimera. It was no surprise to him. He walked up to an operating table. "I'm ready when you are."

Resha told Kotaro to lie down on the bed as she sterilized the surgical tools. As usual, she wore surgical gloves and a mask and her coat.

She pulled out a table from pushed it up, on top of Kotaro's stomach and made him place his hands there. Resha took out a syringe and mixed some medicines in it. "This is anesthesia," she said. "But it won't be able to numb all the pain."

While waiting for the anesthesia to take effect, she went back to get the sterilized tools and walked towards his bedside. "Well, commencing operation."

Kotaro nodded. "I'll bear it." Kotaro waited for the operation to begin.

The operation was smooth, it wasn't so hard to fix. She just had to treat it carefully.

And had to cut open some other parts just to let the blood out or else it'll be prone to infection. There was a stray bullet too, and she dug a bit deep with the forceps, cutting skin and layers of it to get to it. It was pretty deep. It definitely would hurt - the anesthesia she administered didn't accommodate for something so deep like that.

Kotaro winced at certain times during the operation, but tried not to move too much. He had at least gained the feeling in his arms back. As Resha tried to remove the bullet, Kotaro tightly gripped the table, biting down to keep the pain at bay.

"Don't grip on the table," she reprimanded; as he did, the cut she made went wider, ripping some of his flesh. "You're just gonna hurt yourself more. I'm sorry, but don't move your hands." She was very focused.

She used a cotton to clean the flesh of blood. And continued the operation. An hour after, it was finally done. A total of three bullets and his hands were all bandaged up and stitched.

Kotaro looked like he was just relieved from heavy pain - as he probably really was.

"Wasn't so bad now was it?"

Kotar sat up and looked at his hands. He nodded. "Not as bad as I thought it would be." Kotaro tried moving them, a small stinging sensation crawling through them. He could move them, just not to fast of eratic without causing damage. "Thanks Resha."

Renee was standing to the side, letting Resha do what she needed to do.

She was surprised Kotaro could handle that. She looked at her arms, and winced at the thought of the pain.

"Brave," she said, smiling then frowned. "Don't stress out your wounds! You'll reopen them. Just let them heal. Don't use them for a week. Seriously. I know, I know you need them. But seriously, okay?"

She narrowed her eyes at Kotaro. "One week. Let. them. rest."
Then she smiled. "I'll be really mad at you if you don't let them rest for a week."

She looked at Renee. "Are you hurt anywhere? Need some patching up?"

Kotaro nodded. "I promise I won't stress them." Kotaro stood up and looked at his arms again. Last time they were immobile, his shoulders had been ripped completely open and muscles were replaced. He moved his right hand slowly. No pain emanated from it. "Just got to take it slow."

Renee flinched. "No, no, no, im just fine, I promise you that"

She bowed. "If that is all I can do for the both of you. I need to go back to the superiors."

Kotaro nodded. "Good luck Resha." Kotaro looked at Renee. She had changed. He wasn't sure if it was for better or for worse. Kotaro walked up to her. "if you ever need anything, just ask."

Renee blushed a little when Kotaro drew close. She didn't know why.

"S-sure" she said, looking away.

"Oh, Kotaro," she said, before she opened the door. "You were sentenced to be imprisoned for a week.. or so or something, right? Just a reminder."

Resha left the room, feeling empty. Maybe I need my dose too... to erase all these feelings.

There were guards waiting for her, and walked with her towards the superiors, saying it was orders. I can't blame them for not trusting me to not run off again.

As they reached the same place where the superiors passed verdicts, Resha breathed in. Whatever they say now would be absolute to her. She would stop resisting.

And the verdict was that she is never able to go out of the base again - and only when her brother has come would she be able to go out. As far as she could tell, he would never come back. But that's fine with her. "Understood. I'll be working with the chimeras again, then. I won't escape, I will just continue on with my duties."

She was then escorted to her room and a guard kept watch outside of it. [outie for a looooong time]

Kotaro nodded. "I know, I am to report to the central prison in 3 hours at risk of being hunted my whole life. I'm just going to tell my sister first before I go" Kotaro started to walk out of the building strapping his bag on slowly to help his arms, his weapons returned. "Renee, I'll be in jail for two weeks. After that, if you need me, there is a cottage to the south. You can find me there." Kotaro walked out of the building, waving a lone hand of farewell.

Resha was uber tired lately. They've been working her hard. To make up for all the lost time when she kept on leaving.

She sighed. She's not allowed to go out and she'll never see her friends again, and that was just sad.

Looking so haggard, she couldn't even let her hair down with all the operations she had to keep on working on.
