Second Story Bookstore

Rei looked back at Will just before she left. Seeing his eyes open, she walked back toward him. "Hey, sleepy head. Feeling better?"

Will looked at Rei.

"I feel awesome. Its as if I was never sick"

Tosh patted her potbelly quited satisfied as she put the now empty bottle of milk in the sink, trotting back to where Rei is.

"That's what getting a good night's sleep will do," Rei said, smiling. She sat on the edge of his bed, felt his head, and inspected his face. The dark bags that had been under his eyes were gone and his eyes looked more focused. "I'd say you're good to do stuff, but make sure you go to bed at a decent time at night. Money is less important than your health."

"Heh, sleep did help, but its not what healed me."

Tosh walks in a bit confused and still patting her belly. "What's going on in here??" Tosh asked questioningly.

"Hey, Tosh," Rei said, looking at her briefly when she entered. "What do you mean that's not what healed you?"

Will grined.

"I read in the book that firebirds can heal the sick by chanting. I heard chanting in my sleep, so Durin had to have done it."

Durin was asleep in his cage

"Oh cool!" Tosh said when she heard about what Durin did. "Hehe, that sure is nifty~" she said sitting down against a wall.

"Nifty, indeed," Rei said, smiling. She looked at the bird asleep in his cage. She smiled and ruffled Will's hair. "You're lucky about that one, kiddo."

Will nodded.

"Durin deserves a nice rest, so, lets vacate the room"

Will exited the room, and waited in the main area

Tosh exited behind Will, taking her bag along with her, but she tripped up on something when she entered the main room, falling flat on her face. "OW!"

Rei followed the other two, looking back at Durin before leaving. "Interesting."

Rei tripped over a fallen Tosh as she exited. Instinctively, she curled into a ball. She fell shoulder first, then rolled until she was on her feet again. "You alright?" she asked before completely regaining her senses.

Will watched what was going on, confused and... kinda entertained

Ace walked up the stairs and waved over to the group in the bookstore. "Hey guys. What's going on?" Ace asked.

[ Tosh, Rei, Will, Ace ]

Tosh got up and rubbed her face. "Yeah I'll be fine. Ow..." she said lookign back at what she tripped up on. She stared hard at the red gem that fell out her bag and quickly grabbed it, putting it in her pocket. Then she looks towards Ace a bit curious. "Who are you?" she asked.

Rei slowly turned toward Ace. "And what are you doing up here," she added, crossing her arms angrily.

Will quickly closed the door to his room as he saw Ace. He then moved to the kitchen.

"Well, hello, miss!" Ace waved to the young girl. "How are you? My name is Ace."

"I'm walking up to see what's up?" Ace said as he shoo'd off Rei.

"Ace!?" Tosh said grabbing him by the arm running downstairs to the bakery. "Be right back!" she called out.

Rei watched Tosh drag Ace off with disinterest. "Resistance stuff, I'm sure. I don't want to be part of that."

Rei walked toward the kitchen, leaning against the door frame. "My house has no privacy anymore," she complained to the door.

"1: get a lock.

2: Put a bell on doors to alert you when they're opened.

3: Just kick out people until they see they're not welcome.

any will work, but number 3 can fail"

Ace fell down the stairs and into the bakery. "Er, hello?" Ace asked confused.

Tosh coughs a bit and brought Ace to his feet and clears her throat. "I'm Toshii, I'm part of the Resistance and someone said I needed to meet up with you." she explained.

"Number three fails about as often as number one," Rei muttered. "Toshii wasn't here and then she came walking out of her room." She sighed and slid to the floor. "What I need to do is set up some sort of system that zaps Resistance members and soldiers. That'll keep everyone away."
