Xing Beach

"But why? How would you die?" She was starting to cry.

"Shhh," she patted the girl's head. "If you cry, they'll find out. And you said you can keep a secret, Theta."

She smiled at her. "I signed up for this. It's my full consent; the general told me of a task that is needed to be done. He didn't force me or anything and made sure I thought it over but in the end I agreed. What that task is, I can't tell."

Theta looked down and sniffed. "But....I don't want you to die. Alpha....Proto....Even Kotaro will be sad. And Kotaro already lost so many."

"I know," she said. "I accepted this a while back before meeting you guys; before even getting the orders to meeting up with you."

She hugged the girl. "I'm sorry. But I will do my best to stay alive. It's just a might scenario, anyway."

Theta nodded, wiping away the tears. "Promise me you will comeback alive. Please, just promise." She hugged her. "Please."

She nodded. "I'll do what I can," she said as she patted Theta's hair. "So, forget about that for now, all right? Go and have some fun."

"How can I have fun when i am thinking of you dying in a horrible way?" Theta said quietly. But she walked toward the tent exit.

"Theta, it's a might. I won't die if I can help it. Trust me," she said. "So have fun. Cause I want you to."

Maria sat there with Kotaro for awhile before breaking off to swim out to sea. The waves cleared her mind.

Theta nodded and cleared her face of any worry before walking outside. She forced a smile and began to walk toward the ocean.

Dante sighed and stood up, walking back to the car.

Media paused for a while. "Okay, what was I gonna do again?" she sighed.

Maria stopped when she could barely see Proto standing and behind hit by the waves, enduring every hit. She looked out to the horizon, where the vast blue waters stretched to. Maria was tempted to swim farther, but turned and swam back. There was no point in chasing a illusion.

Theta reached the ocean but stopped when she got knee deep in the water. What do I do? She didn't want to break her promise and tell of Media's secret, but she didn't want her to die either. Maybe there's a way I can have someone go with her without telling them.

Dante reached the car and opened the door, sitting in the passenger chair, and watching the others.

Media thought long and hard and finally remembered. She went out of the tent and went back to find that tree she was leaning on when Kotaro and her first talked. "Relaxing," she muttered looking at the pristine ocean and the people swimming.

Maria returned to shore and wrapped herself in a towel, sitting on a towel on the beach.

Theta saw Maria come back to shore and sat next to her, trying to seem cheerful. "Hey. Have a nice swim?"

Dante looked into the back of his car and walkd toward the trunk. He opened it and pulled out a large suitcase. (At least 10 feet long and 3 feet wide.)

Media watched Dante and almost doubled over at the huge suit case. ...how'd he fit that in there?!

"Yeah. It relaxed me ^^"

Her ears flopped in front of her face, heavy from the water.

Theta smiled as the ears went over Maria's face. "Funny."

Dante brought the suitcase over to an empty space on the beach.

Media watched Kotaro with what he'll do with that big suitcase.

Maria lifted her ears back up, only for them to droop again because of the water. She eventually dried them, them popping back up.

"Much better."

Theta giggled then looked toward Dante. "THAT THING IS HUGE!"

Dante opened the suitcase. Inside were multiple pols, a net, multiple rackets, one large ball, and bad-mitten birdies.

Media doubled over at the contents. "SERIOUSLY, KOTARO?!"

Maria started laughing.

"I know much more sets then that which take up much less room!"

Maria walked over and picked up a racket. "Im game"

Dante shook his head. "I'm leaving. This is for you guys." He said seting up the net. "I have someone to go....see."

Theta ran up and frowned. "Aawwws."
