Chimera Nest

"Tch, had I known I would've brought the ice with me," he said, indicating that no, he had no water.

He couldn't even see where they came from.

Will sighed, taking another step. Another chimera tried to pounce him. He easily killed it, and would of facepalmed if his left hand wasn't holding a sword.

"Should we just make a racket and try to kill em?"

"Do as you want," he said, not in the mood to waste energy like he already did. It was bad enough I had to freaking use alchemy.

He slashed a chimera out of his way, not fully killing it and walked on, avoiding chimeras that tried to swipe at him. "Where did you see the computer positioned? Do you remember?"

"It was exactly on the other side of the room. Right across from the door"

"Ah," but even so, the darkness didn't help. "Light? Have any means to let us see?"

Will thought of something. He pulled off some cloth and layed it on the ground. he scrapped his shield and sword agenst eachother till the sparks set the cloth on fire.

"Won't last long"

The light only attracted the chimeras though and they rushed towards Will. Fortunately, the small light gave him a good idea as to where the computer was.

"Will, kill the light now and run!"

Will did as told, smothering the light and running away. The chimera's made a big pile on top of each other.

Holograms? He thought as he slammed a fist on the huge keyboard, and the monitor lit up - the light returning and the chimeras disappearing.

But the pain and the injuries were real. He looked back and saw some blood on the floor. "What the hell."

Will blinked as they disappeared, light returning to the room.

"Thank goodness thats over with." Will said. He noticed his shirt was torn.

"Aaaah, I see, I used my shirt sleeve as tinder.........."

"Are you all right, kid?" Zane asked as he pressed on the keys, trying to access on the information but the firewall was particularly difficult to crack.

"Yeah, im alright. Nothing serious. Just a torn sleeve."

Will walked around and examined the files.

The monitor suddenly showed recordings of human experimentation for chimeras.

The human trafficking, then the brutal exploitations and the final product.

Will was leafing through the files, coming upon a file that caught his eye. He pulled it out and read it. what it said surprised Will.

Zane copied the files in the computer to his gadget. And turned to Will. "What's wrong?"

"Apparently my Grandmother, Sally Hawthorne, used to be a professor here. She helped create chimera, Including 1 successful human chimera named-"

The name was torn off of the file. It seems like it had been torn for some years, probably by the hands of someone.

"Hm," he took the file in his hands. "That's a pity. Maybe it's logged in in the computer, Will. Wanna give it a try?" he motioned to the computer.

Will walked towards the computer and typed in his grandmothers name, files popping up. He looked through them, till he found the file he had read. He looked at where the file was torn. In this case, the name was deleted as well. Will sighed.

"That's too bad," he said then thought of something. "Chimera experimentations, huh.. You know, Will--," but he stopped for a while, unsure if he should go on.

Will was focused on finding out the name.

"What is it, Zane?" Will asked, as he found his grandmother edited it. She was trying to hide something.

"It's nothing. Just that I could easily find the name," he said but turned to the computer. "But I don't work on anything without getting paid for it." Aside from that, I overprice.

He looked at the kid and sighed. "But if it's chimeras and stuff like these, go ask Resha."

Will sighed. "Can't pay you too much, man. Im poor enough as it is."

Will continued looking. "No. Its better if I leave her out of this."

Will left it at that.

"I won't force you," he said. "But I guess I better tell you about things, since you're close to Resha."

He took a seat. "It's not so much as involving her, you know. Because she is a doctor, Will," he looked at him, casually, but nerving. "And she's in the military. Put two and two together."
