Chimera Nest

Will quickly imputed the code.

"Let this work."

Will waited to see if they did it right.

The door opened, fortunately. Cool fog came out and revealed two doors.

Red and Blue.

"Oh, how nice," Zane muttered.

Will felt like breaking a wall. He looked at both doors.

"What, is it a 50 50 chance, no sure way to know?"

"No idea," he said, taking out a small device and quickly browsed through it. "I wasn't given a layout of this place. Only how to get here."

He pocketed it and looked at the two doors then to Will. "I don't mind taking a wild guess and going the same door as you, but since there are two of us, it'll be practical to take a door each."

Zane crossed his arms. "But who knows what's inside. What do you want to do?"

"Hmm..... I'll take the Red door, you take the blue one."

Will walked over to the red one.

He smirked. "Good choice."

He walked towards the blue door. "See ya. Don't get killed."
Zane waved good bye and went in.

It was a very narrow passage, but a long ways to get to the end. A few steps forward and there was water. All the way to the end of the line.

Blue.. water? No kidding? Taking a glance, the water was deep. And it contained... water-breed... chimeras?

Will opened the red door and entered. Before he knew it, he was sweating. The room was filled with fire. All he could see through the steam were these moving things...... he tried to open the door, but to no avail. He slowly walked on

"Maybe that kid would've better taken this door instead," he thought to himself, thinking of a good way to get across.

Could always use alchemy, but - wait, if this is water, then could it really be it's fire on the other side? He tapped on the wall. It was solid, so they probably were apart by a few.

Will's eyes were fading as he made his way. He had killed plenty of Chimera, but the heat, oh the heat, it was severely getting to him. He drank a little bit of water, making sure to save some for later.

He sighed. No use thinking about now. He had to get to the other side and see what he can after that.

He really hated having to resort to alchemy. But he took out his glove nevertheless, wary not to be seen by the chimeras.

Wearing only one, he kneeled with one leg and placed his palm on the floor. A second later, the water turned to ice and the chimeras frozen on the spot. He ran towards the door.

Will reached the door at the end. His vision was blurry as he opened the door. He walked out and got to the other side. He was out of water. He fainted from dehydration.

When he got out of the door, he saw Will passed out. He sighed; he didn't want to think he was responsible for it and so went back in to the blue room to get a chunk of ice.

He laid Will on his back, and held out the ice in front of his face, transmuted it and fell on his face as water.

"Kid, you okay?"

Will shook his head as he sat up.

"Yeah, just got kinda dehydrated. Im guessing you got the nice door, eh? but, im fine now."

"Not nice. Just convenient," he replied, pulling the kid up on his feet. "You can stay here and rest. I'll go in," looking at a screen door.

"Looks like it's the last one."

"No no, im coming too."

Will got up and walked to the screen door. "Whats waiting for us this time I wonder"

"Who knows," he said and opened the door.

It appeared to be just a normal door, as what layed beyond it seemed to be a room filled with files, and a giant computer.

Zane smirked. "Bingo," and went inside. This is a good place to gather information.

Will felt something weird about this room. Something was..... off. He took a couple steps in, and accidently stepped on a switch. The room seemed to disappear, as if it was a hologram, and the lights went off. All Will could make out was faint outlines of Zane.

Ah, shit. Zane looked back to find Will but the outline of the kid was blurry - the darkness practically blinding them.

Quickly, he took out his dagger.

Will pulled out his blade.

"No water, so no Tide Ripper" He said quietly.

He began to hear growling.

There was the sound of a growl, deep and loud.

For a normal chimera - or whatever constitutes as - it sounded a lot more alarming.

He supposed the best way to do this was to get rid of the problem.

Will took a step, the sound echoing throughout the room. Instantly, a chimera howled and jumped at Will. He killed that one, but wasn't so lucky the second time. Another chimera pounced on his back, preparing to attack.

Zane threw his dagger directly at the chimera on Will's back and ran towards it, and took his dagger by dragging it upwards, slicing the thing.

"Will, there's still a lot more. And there's a big one," he said, trying to make sense of things in the dark. "A real big one."

"Ugh, the small ones are hard enough to deal with."

Will got up, catching his breath.

"Do you have any water?"
