Second Story Bookstore

She followed Rei and took the mug, sipping it to be polite.

"Do you really think so?? If his grandparents wrote this book...It stands to reason that their bloodline is the one able to summon both nova's. What would you do if you found out he does, in fact have the ability?? "

"Ignore it entirely," Rei replied, sitting in a chair at the table. "And probably protect him from the looks of things. It's hardly a power that needs to be used." She paused, staring into her coffee. "Unless you plan on turning your enemies into flowers."

Dwyrin chuckled a bit and hoisted herself onto the counter to sit.

"Protect him from the military??" She raised her eyebrows. "You'd make yourself a powerful enemy."

She considered that last statement. Turning an enemy into a flower?? What better thing could be done to an enemy?? It would render them harmless, fragile, and lovely all at once. But perhaps that's not all there was to it. Perhaps this alchemy could be turned toward more sinister things.

"I already am," Rei said, smiling at Dwyrin. She took a sip from her mug and sighed. "Why'd you join the Resistance?"

Zane entered the bookstore, vaguely wondering if there is actually a book he needs. But decided it wasn't bad once in a while. Information is information, after all.

Dwyrin stared blankly at Rei, wondering if there could be some sort of ulterior motive to the question. Probably not, she decided.

"When I was young, I lived with an aunt in Aerugo. One day an Ishvalan man showed up on our doorstep, badly injured. I'm not even sure how he made it there," she added remembering the mans pitiable state. "In any case, he stayed with us for a while and told us many stories. Horrifying ones, really. I think that's when I started making grand plans to change the world and all that." She was going to continue but had heard someone in the store.

"You should go see," she said, putting down her mug and sliding off the counter.

Kotaro approached the bookstore, Kira still following his heels. "Been a while since I was here." Kotaro was still some away's from the bookstore, but he could notice figures in the windows. "Guess someones home." he told Kira. The cat purred at his voice. "If its anyone I know, they wont recognize me." Kotaro pictured his new features in his mind. His silver hair had turned jet black. His eyes are dark crimson. He had a new automail arm, and a scar over his left eye. I'm gonna hate explaining this. Kotaro walked up to the door and entered the store.

Rei nodded. Injured Ishvalans were hardly new to her. She had grown up near the border of Ishval and Amestris and had often seen to the care of injured soldiers from both sides.

She listened a moment to the familiar sound of footsteps on the floor below before she stood. She led the way back down stairs, making sure Dwyrin was right behind her. Part-way down the stairs, she stopped, blocking the way. "I consider you a friend," she said softly, half-turning to face her, though her hair hiding her face. "But if the Resistance causes harm to that boy, I'll hold you responsible."

She continued down the stairs and, closing the door behind Dwyrin, went to find her customers.

Kotaro watched as Kira immediatly jumped onto the counter. Kotaro smiled and shook his head. I wonder who's here? Kotaro noticed Zane had entered with him, but he hadn't noticed him. He sure is quiet. Kotaro became aware of footsteps on stairs. He turned to see who was coming down, but the person hadn't emerged yet.

Will slowly woke up in his bed.

"My bed?" He questioned. He so said he left, but here he was, sleeping like a log in Rei's place. Did he truly leave, or did he want to think that.

Will laughed at himself.

Tosh walked in yawning and stretching. SHe looked around to see who was here.

Will walked out of the room and begun to walk downstairs.

"Gio!" Tosh said as she glomped him.

Well, that's hardly fair. I have no intention of hurting him, if that's what she means. But then again... She couldn't help but be doubtful. She wasn't sure she could keep him unharmed - she wasn't even sure she wanted to - but if it came down to the descision of protecting the ward of her friend, or doing her job... She just couldn't be sure, yet.

Dwyrin emerged from the doorway to see, not one, but a couple people in the store. Hoping to be alone with her thoughts she walked in between the shelves, hunting for something to ease her uncertainty about the two-nova dilema.

Tosh looks over at Dwyrin, smiling widely. "Hey! Long time no chat!" she said hopping up off of Will and running to her.

Will fell to the ground, hitting his head.

"Owwww...... hey........"

"Yay! He lives!{" Tosh said running back over to him.

Dwyrin saw Toshii runnning toward her and wasn't sure if the girl would be able to stop herself before they collided.

She smiled faintly and lifted her hand in a half-wave. "It has been a while, hasn't it??" She was about to ask how she was, then she remembered the last time she had seen her.

{Uhh, what happened??}

Will was getting back onto his feat, his head hurting

Kotaro was in the corner trying not to be noticed. He had a red stne in his hand. “What did you do?” he asked it.

"Yup yup!" Tosh said taking out a cookie and nomming on it.

Seeing as Toshii just agreed and then stood there, she asked anyway. "Um. How are you??" And where'd she get that cookie?? It smells good.

She heard a voice amongst the shelves that wasn't Zergio's and faintly wondered who it was.

Tosh sighs a bit, saying "It's kinda rough but I'm still hanging on." Tosh said managing a smile. "Oh yeah! I forgot something! Laterz!" she said running out the bookstore.
