The Park

Kotaro heard a small humming sound and then a voice. Kira turned her head and headed for it. “Kira! Mischiuvous cat.” Kotaro got up and followed Kira.

Kira looked up at the girl on the bench, tilting her head a bit. She mewed at her.

"Awwww! Kitty! Cute!" Emi immediately jumped up from the bench and stroked the cat that had appeared in front of her.

Kira purred as Emi stroked her.

Kotaro saw Kira stop in front of a girl. As the girl petted Kira, Kotaro vaguly recognized the voice. “Emi?”

Kira ran to Kotaro's heels, rubbing against his legs.

"Awwws" Emi looked up when she heard a voice. "Ohhh, heys!" She began to jump up and down, waving as she did. "Is this your kitty?"

Kotaro nodded. “Yeah. Kira's mine. She has a few surprises in her.” Kotaro looked at Emi. “It's been a while hasn't it?”

"Awwws! She is so cute!" Emi stared at Kira for a little while before looking to Kotaro. "Mhm! It has been quite a while!"

Kotaro nodded again. “Kira, how about you show her a trick.” He turned to Emi. “Watch this.” Kotaro smiled. He got a laugh at peoples reaction when they saw Kira transform. He hoped it wouldn't scare Emi. “The abandoned outpost was where we last met.”
Kira started to grow to the size of a lion, claws and fangs protruding. Although looking dangerous, Kira still acted as a cat.

"Yeah! I remember! Ohhh!" Emi looked carefully at Kira as she started to grow and tilted her head to the side slightly as if it would give a better view. "Is she going to hurt peoples?" Emi asked hesitantly.

Kotaro shook his head. “Only if they are bad. She still acts like a cat.” As if to prove him, Kira layed down and began to purr. “She's a chimera that found me one day. Guess she liked me.”

"Ohhh! Thats good! Yays!" Emi spun around before stroking Kira again. "Awws, thats cools. Mhm!"

Kira continued to purr as Emi stroked her.

“So what you been up too? As for me, its been troublesome for a while, but something good came out of it. Sorry, I asked you a question. I shouldnt have-” He stopped talking. “So how have you been?”

Why did I stutter?

"Hmm, no you can carry on if you want, I haven't really been doing much just training and stuff. Yeps!" Emi looked up at Kotaro waiting for him to finish.

Kotaro raised an eyebrow. “Alright.” He wondered what to talk about. a lot had happened. “Well, something happened between me and Tosh. I met more people and my house was destroyed. Oh, and I was wanted by the military.” He waited to see her reaction.

Kira turned back into a normal cat and tilted her head at Kotaro, as if wondering what she missed.

Emi listened to Kotaro carefully then said each reaction as it came to her mind. "Ohhh, yays for people, awwws for house and silly military! Bleh.." She scowled at the thought of the military before smiling at Kotaro and stroking Kira.

“Yeah, the military has been a bump in my life.” Kotaro shook his head. “As for the house, well, Ibwas going to move anyway.”

Lyer

“Tosh and me went through most of my problems together. She is very persistant when friends are in trouble, just like me. No wonder we-” Kotaro stopped and began to sweat. He had almost gave away a secret.

"They are very silly, and that is alright I suppose, mhm!" Emi sat back down on the bench and looked up towards the sky. "Tosh is awesomes, yeah, yays!" Emi was going to ask about the last statement but after looking at Kotaro she decided against it.

Kotaro sighed in relief as Emi didn't ask about the interupted staement. No one but Zegio knew Tosh and him had fallen in love, and he kept it a secret.

“Yeah, she is great. She saved my life again too. Thats 3 times I owe her.” He shuffled his feet. Know that he had thought about it, Tosh seemed anxious to tell people about their relationship. As a friend, Emi should know right? “Hey, how close are you to Tosh?”

"Haha, she must be good at saving your life then. Yeps!" Emi looked around the park as she thought. "Me and Tosh?? I'd say we are pretty good friends, though, I haven't seen her in a while, mhm."

Kotaro nodded. “Well, what would you do if she had fallen in love with someone?” He could feel himself beggining to blush, so he put his hood on.

"Hmmm.. If she fell in love then I would go yays! Mhm!" Emi looked at Kotaro and was surprised when she saw his hood up.

Kotaro gave a weak smile. “Well, she did, and that person is in love with her.” Kotaro paused. “And that person is standing right here.”

"Awwwws! Yays!" Emi began to clap as she smiled at Kotaro. "Hehe, that is good, mhm."

(M'kies!)

Kotaro smiled again. "Yeah. It is." He shuffled his feet again.

Kira had jumped onto the bench and was staring at the bird bath.

"Yays for the awesomeness of good!" Emi looked at Kira as she jumped up and began to stroke her. "Nice of you to join me up here Kira, hehe!"

Kira closed her eyes and grinned (As much as a cat can grin) as she was stroked.

“You are a lot like Tosh. Always happy for something.” Kotaro smiled.
