Second Story Bookstore

Rei stood still, staring at the top of the stairs that Will had just gone down. She was having problems figuring out why the boy affected her the way he did. She could keep her composure around anybody usually, so a boy like that should be no problem for her.

She sighed and leaned against the refrigerator, unconsciously flexing her left hand. "Stupid, Rei." She shook her head to clear her mind and stretched her arms high above her head. Content that she could talk to this boy without panicking, she grabbed the farming book of the table and followed Will downstairs.

Will was browsing through the collection of books, looking for the specific book he spoke of. During his search, he found another book of interest and plucked it off the shelf, leafing through it.

Tosh wandered into the room where she saw another boy and just realizes where she is. She gazes around at the vast collection of books in amazement. "Whoa.... this place looks cool! But, back to food searching!" Tosh went back to sniffing around for the food she was searching for.

Rei returned downstairs to find that she had another customer, though this one looked more like she was trying to be a dog than find a book. "This is the most company I've had in weeks."

She spotted Will between two shelves. "Finding everything alright, Zergio? If you need help I'm over here. I have that still farming book if you're interested."

Rei watched her other customer with some confusion before addressing her. "Can I help you with something?"

"Thank you, Rei, and yes, im still interested in that book, thank you ^^"

Will continued looking through the book he had pulled out. He secretly laughed at the new customer

"Quite a funny fellow"

Tosh turns to the girl, her attention caught. "Oh! I just smelled food and wandered in. Sorry for disturbing." Tosh rubbed the back of her head chuckling and embarrased a bit.

Rei smiled her crooked smile. "Well, if you're looking for food you walked past it. You probably smell the food from the bakery on the first floor. How you managed to walk right past it is beyond me."

Will was thinking on the offer Rei had given him, and decided to trust her.

"Rei, I'll accept your offer, but I need a place for my cart/stuff, ether one. Feels wrong being away with it"

"Oh... I just smelled food up here, too. So! I just followed and its coming from... HIM!" Tosh points to the boy named Will.

Rei chuckled to herself as she decided who to respond to first. The two adolescents had practically spoken over each other in their responses to her.

"Zergio, I'd be honored to have you as a guest. There's a place out back that should be a good safe place for your cart."

Then she placed her hand on the young girl's hand and lowered it. "It's rude to point. I'm pretty sure it's rude to accuse poor Zergio of smelling like food, too," she added as an afterthought.

"I probably smell like food because of the fruits and veggies I sleep, or rather, slept with, since Rei here was kind enough to offer em a room ^^"

Will walked towards the stairwell

"I'll be back with my cart, won't be long"

Will hurried to fetch it

"Ohhhhhhhhhh, okay then." Toshii played with the hair bangs that covered her left eye.

Rei found herself waving at Will as he left the room. She stared a moment at her hand then shoved it in her pocket. She turned to face the girl now standing in her bookstore playing with her hair.

"Can I help you with anything? I have cookbooks for sale if you're interested in those. Otherwise the bakery downst-" Rei stopped herself as something caught in her mind. "Wait, you smelled the food on him? From the street?"

Will returned quickly with his cart, parking it in the back

Tosh stopped playing with her hair, looking at Yoyo. "Oh yeah." Tosh goes back to playing with her hair absentmindedly.

"'Oh yeah'?" Rei repeated. "It's not normal to smell someone who is inside a building from outside the building." She was beginning to wonder if her life was being intentionally turned upside-down by someone or if her bookstore had begun to give off a scent that attracted strange people.

Will ran up the staircase, making record time. Downside? He trips and whacks his face on the ground

"Well! Unfortunately I'm not like most people!" Tosh stated proudly, feeling like she is on top of the world. Toshii started laughing loudly when Will tripped up and fell.

[ :O mkays ]

"Woah, you okay there, Zergio?" Rei said, distracted by Will's somewhat clumsy entrance. She took a few steps closer to the boy, hunched over slightly to see if she could spot any immediate damage from afar.

Will raised his face, relieving a bloody nose.

"I feel fine. Somethings dripping off my face though:

Tosh stopped her laughter and trots over to Will to make sure too that he isn't injured. "Sorry 'bout that, but I can't help myself sometimes when that happens to people." Toshii said poking Will with a random sugar cookie she pulled from her pocket.

Rei stared at the cookie then shook her head and raced to the counter for some tissues. She put Will in one of the chairs and handed him the tissues. "Be more careful. Blood isn't easy to clean off the floor," she said with a smile.

She turned and looked at the girl, then eyed the cookie with suspicion. "I suppose you're hungry?"

Will plugged his nose with the tissues.

"Tank yo Reai"

He patiently waited for the nosebleed to pass

"Oh yeah!" Toshii responded to Rei, as she flipped the cookie up into the air. The cookie went a considerable distance up before coming back down into Tosh's open mouth, her swallowing the cookie whole and licking her lips of any available crumbs.

Rei's expression of skepticism remained plastered on her face. This was becoming too much for her to handle. This crazy girl had just swallowed a cookie whole after smelling someone in her store from the street. She glanced at Will to see what he thought of the matter, hoping for some form of backup.
