Eastern Plains

The wind was blowing gentely in the plains, causing the grass and leaves on the trees to waver a bit. A couple horses were grazing near a lake in the plains. It was a peaceful area traveled rarely and not touched by war or industry. Which is why Kotaro went there.

Kotaro had walked from his destroyed cottage to these plains to escape the destruction and mayhem. He needed to be at peace. This area was the only place he could relax now that the cottage was gone. His parents graves had been unearthed when the military blew it up. It had caused him to retch as he dug new graves, carrying their decomposing bodies to their new resting place.

Kotaro reached the top of the hill that overlooked the lake and most of the plains. His mind which was full of regret, hate, sadness and pressure had begun to clear itself. He breathed in the cool fresh air. “So peaceful.” Kotaro looked over the plains like a guardian of the never ending green.

Will had gotten lost on his destination to where ever he was to go. When he decided to look around, he was in a grassy plain.

"I must of spaced out bad" Will said.

He approached the lake in the area and slid his hand within it, twirling it so ripples spread across the lakes surface. His tense body began to relax, and even his casted arm began to feel better. He felt like he was being watched, but he didn't pay any attention to it. He continued to look at his reflection in the water.

Kotaro noticed in his peripheral vision someone was at the lake. He turned to see he was kneeling by the lake, placing his hand in it. "Wonder who that could be?" Kotaro took one last look around the plains before walking down the hill toward the newcomer. As he got closer he noticed the person was familiar. "Is that...?" Kotaro stopped moving, his gaze still fixed on the familiar figure. "Zergio?"

Kyte had decided to come here since this is the last place him and his family had gone before that incident. "So it's still peacful that's good." Kyte said to him self and he laid down remembering the good times.

Trees work as good chairs, he thought, as he sat on a branch, high up the tree. The breeze is good; perhaps he'd sleep.

Kotaro was sitting in the tree next to the lake on the left side of the plains. He gazed out on the vast grassland that he had once called his home. He breathed in the air deeply, remembering his past. No need to wallow in the past. Not anymore. He jumped from the tree, landing firmly on his feet. Birds scattered as he landed.

Zane looked over the plains and spotted a faint figure somewhere in the distance. Hm. Too far for him to really recognize, he shrugged.

Kotaro closed his eyes, a faint breeze blowing past him. He became aware of a presence next to him. He looked to his right to see a horse that had walked up to him. It was brown with a silver mane. Quite an unusual thing to see. Kotaro placed his hand on it's muzzle. The horse didn't budge. "Your a friendly one aren't you?" The horse shook its head and whinnied. Kotaro looked around the plain, spotting a figure in the distance. "Now who could that be?" He said to himself.

Zane lied down on the branch, his arm cushioning his head. Whoever that person was, he probably was just in the same area. No need for him to bother other people; it would be weird, even for him who avoids people, when he can.

Kotaro pondered the thought of going to see who the figure was. It might be someone he knew. He turned his attention back to the horse. "What do you think?" The horse whinnied and seemed to kneel. Kotaro raised an eyebrow. "Your not like other horses are you?" Kotaro shrugged and hopped onto the horses back. The horse stood up straight and began a steady jog to the figure. Kotaro rasied an eyebrow again. "You are very peculiar you know that?" The horse whinnied. "Well, fine."

Amelia crawled around i the grass, looking for flowers. "Hm... nice weather today.. " She smiled to herself and continued to look

Zane kept his eyes half-closed, looking at the leaves above him and how the sunlight seemed to try and get past them, but to no avail.

"I'm... bored."

Kotaro saw the horses head turn toward his left. Kotaro followed it's gaze and spotted another figure in the distance. "Well ain't that something." The horse whinnied again. "Well what do you want to do? I'm kinda under you power right now." The horse suddenly bucked, sending Kotaro flying through the air and onto his back. "Ouch!" Kotaro sat up rubbing the back of his head. "What was that for?" The horse whinnied and motioned it's head toward the figure in the tree as it trotted over to the one in the grass. Kotaro shook his head. "OK, I can take a hint."

Amelia slowly stood up and counted the flowers in her hands. "Great, this will be enough flowers." she closed her eyes and sniffed some on the flowers in her hands. With a smile she opened her eyes and saw a horse. "... a h-horse?"

Zane tilted his head to see whatever made the whining sounds, albeit faint, and saw the earlier figure and a... horse parting ways. Where the former seemed to walk towards him.

Kotaro dusted himself off and began to lazily walk to the tree. "I swear that horse can understand me." As he got closer to the tree. he reached into his bag, pulled out a canteen and drank greedily from it. "Damn. Water never tasted so good."

The horse trotted up to Amelia and whinnied a greeting.

Amelia blinke a few times and took a step backwards. "hello mr. horse." She looked carefully at the hores. She didnt like horses so much, just because they are big and ... scary. On top of that, they smelled kinda bad.

Zane averted his attention away the person after recognizing who it was. On top of that, on the other side, the horse was with a girl, whom somehow he was quite sure he knew.

Kotaro looked up at the figure in the tree. The leaves were hiding most of him, so he couldn't tell who it was. Wait...What am I doing? A horse has me walk up to this guy. A HORSE! Kotaro threw his hands up in the air. "I must be crazier then I thought." Kotaro shook his head and turned to the figure. "Hey, what are you doing up there?"

The horse whinnied again and motioned it's head towards the tree.

Amelia looked over to the tree and saw a guy. It seemed like he was looking for something or someone in the tree. ".. do you want me to go over there..?" She felt a little crazy. Talking to a horse wasnt something she did everyday.

Zane didn't want to reply. He was too tired, but regarding a few events that he was informed of, he guess it was an opportunity to edge out a few details.

Still, what to reply? He thought it was rather obvious he was just resting, but he didn't even want to consider what reasons others can come up with so he decided to go with the most dominant answer in his thought.

"Nothing."

Kotaro raised an eyebrow and shook his head. "Well why not come on down? It has to be uncomfortable laying on that branch." Kotaro felt a little worm edging through his mind. He knew this guys voice. But where have I heard it?

The horse whinnied again and rook a few paces toward the tree, stoppong then swinging it's head toward it again.

Amelia stayed quiet and followed the horse. really... im talking and... listenig to a horse? She shook her head and looked down. "... have i lost my mind?" She and the horse came clost to the tree,and she could see the guys face clearly.

He was about to say "I'd rather not go down" when he saw the girl and the horse approaching them. That was when he jumped down the tree, lightly and wordlessly.

"Amelia," he acknowledged the girl in greeting. He looked at the man. "And Kotaro, yeah?"

The horse made a sound and Zane took out the apple he got from the tree and tossed it at the horse. He was quite amused when the horse was able to catch it though.

Kotaro took a step back as Zane jumped down and Amelia and the horse approached. He nodded. "Amelia, is this horse yours? I swear it knows the human language." Kotaro then turned to Zane and tried to smile. He managed a very weak one. "And the infamous General Zane." He had said the words through clenched teeth. His hand instinctively went to the holster hidden behind his jacket, instead he put it inside his pocket. "What a pleasure."

The horse walked to the side of the tree, chomping on the apple.
