Drachma War Camp

Zane smiled to himself, rather enjoying being not hassled.

After a long discussion and a few more proofs - and still with him keeping let Ace do everything - they were given permission.

With a compromise. "We'll have someone escort you," the commander said and called out one of the guards. Zane could hardly keep himself from laughing when he saw it was the same guard who tackled Ace at the camp's entrance.

"Aren't you so lucky," he whispered to Ace, seeing the maybe-female guard trying its best to not tackle Ace to oblivion.

Ace looked at the guard and felt himself groan. Then he realized something and smiled. Ace waved back to the commander and pulled the guard close and whispered into his ear.

"Hey, I have a secret, I'm not gay. But my friend here? He is extremely gay, but he's very very shy. So even though he may act like he's not interested, give him everything you got, because he really likes that kinda thing. And he told me he was jealous of all the attention I was getting," Ace smiled and nudged the guard over to Pedro.

"Have fun," Ace laughed.

Zane glared at Ace but didn't held back his laughter when the guard whined and latched on Ace's arm.

With his big built, he held on to Ace as he escorted them to the blimps. Zane took the boxes and followed far behind.

"Wooooow!" Ace exclaimed as he saw the blimps. The guard had pointed him to a smaller blimp but Ace ignored him and walked over to the biggest and shiniest of them.

"How many men are needed to operate this blimp?" Ace asked.

Zane ignored their conversation and looked around, still holding the boxes. Walking around, not so far from the two, he tried to see if there were anything that could be valuable - one way or another.

It wasn't easy to make things out of things, since everything was just covered in snow.

As he walked around, he stepped on something metal. But as he struggled to look down - what with the boxes obstructing his sight - a huge explosive sound rang through his ears.

"A level 3 mine!? Who the heck leaves one of those lying around!" Ace screamed at the incompetent guard. "You Drachma'ns leave that next to the blimps! My friend about had his body ripped in half! You complete idiots!"

Ace helped Zane back up after the explosion and glared. Thanks to that bomb many guards had come running over, thinking Zane and them had tried something. Zane also needed medical attention, straight away. Darn.

Ace leaned over, "Pedro, I'll get the blimp ready, when they're done bandaging you up come back and meet me at the Blimp. You're really lucky! Not many people survive one of those."

Ace watched as paramedics carried Zane off.

[oh? i stepped on a mine? i didn't know that. haha ]

Zane cursed in his mind, feeling his body in freaking pain. But he was fine, overall, aside from the bleeding. But, this should be a good enough distraction for Ace.

Before he was carried off, he nodded at Ace's words. "I'm fine, see you in a bit." It was a good thing this place is full of ice, or else I would've been in pieces. He thought, being able to use alchemy to lessen the impact.

At the medical tent, Zane was treated and bandaged up pretty nicely. Acting his part, he was ab;e to at least get a good amount of information. Well, time to get to Ace.

[You stepped on something and exploded. I went with mine~]

Ace had tricked the guard that had been following him around into a room and had used alchemy to lock him in. Cruel, perhaps, but he was tired of him. "Men," Ace smirked. "I really like the honeys instead."

Ace had packed the blimp with every weapon he could find and had charged her up. He wasn't sure if one person could fly such a large and shiny blimp, but due to its large and shininess, he wasn't taking any chances of taking a lame dull blimp.

He had also painted a giant "Ace Rox" on the side, just so people knew.

He was getting tired of waiting on Zane, and he knew there was a sweet and beautiful commander waiting on the other side of the place. He wondered if he could reach her in time. Sure, it was a stretch, but maybe...

Ace ran back to the commander's tent. "Don't worry, beautiful!" Ace shouted as he ran through camp.

Zane was walking towards where the blimps were, basing the directions from memory, when Ace passed him by. Luckily, his surprise only triggered his reflexes and he caught him by his collar. "What... are you doing?"

He looked towards the direction he was going to and saw the commander's tent. He sighed. Hopeless womanizer. Ah, well. I guess he got so bored with the gay.

"Are you done with the blimps?" he asked.

"The blimp is fine my dear Pedro," Ace snapped. "But the woman~"

Ace struggled but realized Zane wasn't going to give him a chance. "Fine, let's get this show on the road."

Ace ran back to the blimp and turned it on. "This beauty needs a name, Pedro!" Ace yelled out to the man he hoped was behind him. The large engines churned to life and Ace knew they'd soon be airborne.

Zane hurried his steps but his leg took most of the blast. "Name? You really are something," he sighed. "And stop calling me Pedro anymore. You sure we're good to go?"

We'll be shot down for sure once they realize we're stealing this, but... it depends on who's faster, I guess.

It didn't take long for them to finally be moving and onto the air. And when they were in a good ways up, the door inside the room they were in was busted open, several soldiers pointing their guns at him and Ace.

"Hey, I'm injured. Do something."

Ace looked at Pedro and laughed. "Yes, let's not worry about the difficulties of flying a big blimp like this, Ace, let's instead take care of a few insects in the cabin. Surely this blimp can fly itself."

Ace spun around in his chair and opened fire on the soldiers with his guns. "Bwahaha~"

Ace set the course for the blimp and ran over to the door. "We're stopping by the Commander's tent! Surely I can convince her to come with me!"

Is he talking to himself?

Zane flicked a stray bullet away from and towards an enemy with his dagger. It wouldn't hurt for this guy to be more composed... really.

He didn't want to but he ended up smacking the back of Ace's head. "Sure, you just stole one of her blimps, killed some of her comrades and yes, she'll come with you," he said, sarcastic.

"Are you sure there are no other enemies in this blimp? You didn't even inspect the blimp, hm?"

"I stashed it with a high quality of explosives, why would I inspect it?"

"Goodbye, true love!" Ace yelled out to the camp.

Ace grabbed the helm and started lifting the Blimp higher. "By the way, make sure no stray bullets hit us...We have enough explosives to take down a mountain, heh."

"So you're not even sure if there are still soldiers scattering the blimp?" he asked, disbelief laced his tone. This guy is unbelievable.

"And how do I make sure of that, Ace?" he asked, his back towards him and slightly pondering if he should check the blimp any further to see if there were any more wondering enemies.

"We just do our best to not look like a target," Ace said. "Speaking of which, it seems Drachma isn't so happy we took their blimps, and are firing flak at us. Which isn't as bad as some of the anti-air guns they are also aiming at us."


Ace smiled. "But you might want to check the place for more soldiers? Anything's possible."

Ace continued to lift the blimp higher into the air and fired up a cannon he'd mounted. "Fire!"

"You think?" he said, sighing. "Well, I leave you with your explosives and make sure those tailing us crash." I'm sure he can do that with ease, he's just playing around too much.

He stretched a bit, trying out which of his limbs hurt too much, or would be all right to stress a bit. "But, I'll go do just that. I still think," he walked towards the busted door. "That we left too soon. There were so many valuables I could've made money out of."

Ace laughed. His partner didn't seem to be enjoying himself as much as he. Ace launched a few more bombs at the Drachma'n camp and laughed as they exploded across the country side. "Ah, what a scene. This kind of thing may start a war between Amestris and Drachma. I bet the Resistance would be proud of me for causing that kind of trouble," Ace declared.

They were soon out of range of the anti-aircraft weapons and were successfully out of range of any further Drachma attacks. Unless they became chased by blimps it'd seem they were in for safe riding. Ace lifted them up higher just in case and began to fiddle with his cannons.

"Seems we're on course," Ace said. "I wonder where Pedro is."

"Just to remind you, you've probably injured a ton of females in that camp, Ace, seeing as we were the only males there," he said and before leaving, he added. "Even your lovely commander."

Well, it's not like I'm in the military. And this is good opportunity to learn about their ways, somehow, if not for my own benefit.

He left Ace and looked around the blimp. It was relatively quiet and it seemed safe, for a moment. But he couldn't lower his guard.

So he ventured in further, hearing the firing quiet down.

Ace continued to fly the Blimp through the skies. It was quite cold and he ran over to the heater and turned it up. "My goodness, I hate the cold," Ace said to himself.

He looked at the can of paint and the blimp. "I wonder if I could paint racing stripes on this before Pedro gets back..."

As Zane went in further the blimp, he went in a room where there were a huge amount of cargo boxes of different sizes were lined up.

"Wonder if there's anything valuable," he stared at the boxes. He decided to open one box that looked particularly okay, at a good size and seemed okay to pry open.

And he couldn't believe what he saw.

Ace smiled at the racing stripes he'd prepared. It was at this time he realized he'd not yet named the Blimp. He ducked back into the helm and sighed when he saw Pedro hadn't come back and caught him painting. "Phew," he said.

"Pedro!" Ace yelled into the blimp. "Pedro! We forgot to name the Blimp!"

He closed the lid back, still disbelieving what he saw and made a way to another box. He quickly shut it back close the moment he opened it.

And trying to make sense of what he just saw, he went back to where Ace was as he heard his new name from him.

He was about to tell him of what he had just discovered but he was rather surprised too much at what he had seen. "What happened here?"

"Nothing?" Ace said. "What happened back there?"

"You painted the blimp," he simply said but he tried his best to stop being surprised. He was sure this wasn't the last of it either.

"Ah and about back there," he paused. "I found some cargo - a lot of them. One had squids, the other had... body parts in tubes. I think they may have been exporting these illegally."

"Ah, there was also a huge stash of candies. And some iguanas."
