Central streets

Kotaro walked down the streets of Central with a lot on his mind. First, he was free from prison if he retrieved some research documents the next day. Second, his sister was living on her own at the cottage when he wasn't there. Third, he missed his friends. He had spent most of the day looking for them or being with his sister. He had finally given up looking for them. For a bit he thought they were avoiding him, but he waved that aside. Kotaro stood up and put on his hood. He began to walk down the streets with no purpose. Just to give him something to do until the next day.

Renee was walking down the streets, looking down, not paying much attention. She constantly bumped into people, and apologized. She didn't know what to do.

As Kotaro walked down the street, he was aware that he wasn't coming into contact with anyone else despite there being people all around him. This just seemed to strengthen the thought that people were avoiding him. He sighed and pulled his hood over his eyes. He continued to walk, making contact with no one.

Renee bumped into someone and fell over.

"Sorry........" Renee said, looking up. It was a man, just barely older then her.

"Sorry won't cut it, Missy. You'll have to work for forgiveness."

He pulled her into a alley. Renee resisted, but the man easily over powered her.

Kotaro continued to walk through the streets. As he looked up he saw someone throw another into an ally. "Whats going on over there." Kotaro sped his stride to reach the alley. "Hey! Whats going on there!" He called toward the alley.

The man cursed as he fled the scene. Renee didn't know what to do, slowly backing into the alley as she saw someone look into it, unable to tell who it was.

Kotaro saw the man flee as he entered the alley. Kotaro looked at the one that had been thrown. He began to approach her, unable to see who it was. "Are you Ok?" he asked,

Renee nodded.

"T-thank you........" Renee studdered.

As Kotaro got closer he started to make out the girl. The voice was familiar as well. He took another step closer and squinted at her. "Renee? Is that you?"

Renee blinked.

"I am Renee, but.... who are you?"

She still couldn't tell who saved her.

"It's me Renee." Kotaro removed his hood. "It's Kotaro." Kotaro was glad he had found Renee, but a little confused. He had seen Renee get thrown into the alley. She usually would have fought back.

"Oh, hey Kotaro" Renee smiled. "What brings you out here?"

Kotaro blinked. "Looking for someone I knew. But I think I'm more concerned about what just happened." Kotaro had only been in prison for a week. What had changed? If he stayed 2 weeks, what would have happened to Renee?

Renee blinked and looked down.

"I accidently bumped into that man, and he said I had to work for forgiveness.........."

Kotaro looked toward the direction the man had ran. He was outta sight. Kotaro wouldn't be able to find him. He cursed. "Bastard." Kotaro walked closer to Renee. "Well, he's gone now. Forget forgiving him at all."

Renee nodded.

"Thank you for saving me, Kotaro."

Kotaro shook his head. "Don't mention it Renee." He looked at her and smiled. "So how have you been? I haven't seen you in a week."

Renee rubbed her head.

"Well, I guess. I kinda lost my want to make guns...... although I got lots to sell, im not able to restock them. Could be a problem."

Kotaro thought for a moment. She lost her will to make guns? Is it because of the chip? Kotaro shook his head. What else had changed? "Well,that could be a problem." Kotaro wondered why she had opened a gun shop in the first place. For protection. Kotaro closed his eyes. "You did it before because you felt safe with a weapon."

Renee shook her head.

"I did it because I liked making guns. I've just felt....... too down lately to make any."

Kotaro placed a hand on her shoulder. "Why are you down? Hasn't Resha and Tosh kept you company?" Kotaro hadn't seen anyone but his sister and Renee. He didn't know if anything happened.

"Well, Tosh is around, but Renee is no longer allowed out of the Medical Base. I haven't seen her for a long while..... Tosh seemed to disappear on me so..... I was mostly alone......."

Kotaro felt horrible. She seemed to be alone her whole life. "You seem to always be alone." Kotaro sighed. He didn't know why, but he hugged her. Just trying to comfort her.

Renee smiled a little.

"Its true I was alone......... for a long time.......... but I got wonderful friends like you now :3"

Kotaro nodded. "Friends who would never leave you." Kotaro backed up "And friends who want to make up for lost time. I gotta go south tomorrow and I want to hang out with you before I do."
