Makeshift Med Base

Resha's eyes widened. She's... not mentally stable. She's become crazy...

"Kotaro, do something," Resha begged. "I can... I can heal her, but..." she cast her eyes down. The sword was being pressed towards her neck, piercing her skin.

"Theta, you need to drop the sword." Dante said without moving forward.

Theta looked at him and at the sword, then at Resha. "Whats happening? Why am I doing this." She suddenly snapped. "Alpha's dead! Someone killed Alpha!" She said throwing the sword to the ground and falling to her knees. "Alpha? Alpha are you there? I can't hear you."

Resha backed, holding her neck and sighing in relief. But her look turned stern. "Get her, please," she said. "We need to treat her or she might hurt herself!"

Dante was already beside Theta and holding her arms. "Theta, come with me, we're going to go get help."

"Help? For what?" Theta said tilting her head. "Wait, Media didn't want help. I wanted to help her......" She droned on as Dante stood her up and looked at Resha. "Med bay?"

"I will bring Media," she said to Theta. And nodded at Kotaro. "Med Bay."

Dante nodded and started to lead her to the med bay. When they arrived he sat her on a bed.

"Kotaro, where am I?' She said looking around. "Where's the General?"

"She must be having a flashback." He whispered. "The Generals busy."

"Yes," Resha said as she moved to gather a few medicine bottle and mix them up in a different vial. "Most likely. If not a flashback, a hallucination."

She turned to a nurse. "Somebody call Media in Med Bay." And faced back to the medicine and inserted in a syringe.

"The general's busy. Media is fine. You will be too, Theta." She was genuinely concerned but she had to work on them first.

Dante shook his head. "Theta, the General isn't here. He will be back though. Like Media."

"Media? I thought..." She suddenly began to freak. "She's going to die!"

"Hold her down, please," Resha said as she injected the medicine in Theta. "Calm down... Media should be here soon."

And not a second after, Media did arrive. "What's going on?!"

Dante held Theta down as Resha injected her. She immediately calmed down and laid on the bed. "Damn it, she's gone crazy."

"Theta!" Media rushed towards her. "She's gone crazy?" Media looked mortified. Resha sighed, glad it worked.

"So, I take it that everything has to be said now," Resha crossed her arms. "Before we end up killing each other like this."

Dante looked at Media and without thinking held her up against the wall. "What the hell is so important that you left us and told Theta you might die!?"

Resha rushed to pull Kotaro off of Media. "That's exactly what I'm talking about! Stop being so hostile, everyone!"

Media glared. "Resha," she said. "She's my mission."

Dante glared at Media. "What the hell was so important?" He said coldly. "I've had enough of this BS."

"What more do you want me to say?" Media glared pushing him back. "It's not like when you do your reckless actions, you tell us anything, anyway. Don't be a hypocrite!"

Resha stayed firm in her spot, surprised. Although she should've seen this coming.

"I kept secrets but they never caused someone to go insane and kill their friends!" Dante shouted. "Now what the hell are you hiding!? Why can't you tell me I'm in the military!"

She turned to Resha. "Go out!" Media looked at Kotaro. "If you want me to tell you, make her go out. Now."

Dante shook his head. "Always with the damn secrets." He looked at Resha. "Resha, could you wait outside for a bit?"

Resha sighed. "Okay. I understand." And she left the room, feeling left out.

Media made sure she was away and shooed her to the other corridors.

"Okay. So like I said, Resha is my mission... issued by the general."

"So this is a protective thing?" Dante said irritated. "Why didn't you just say so?"

"Sort of," she said. "But thing is... there's a potential for Resha to die. To be honest, the general hasn't been quite clear about it. But I'm to replace her death, somehow. I'm not sure how. But that's what he said."

"So your supposed to stand in for her death which is coming at some time." He said gritting his teeth.

"Something like that. And to prevent any kind of harm that may befall her. The general is working real low for now. Against the military. They're targeting Resha. Something valuable is planted in her, from what I've gathered. But they're so tight on releasing the information... even the general is still not sure what it is. He has an inkling but he won't say." Media moved her hair back. "But that's why I'm in the military right now. A lot of papers of request have been filed to me, you know. Requests to dissect her."

"TO WHAT!?" Dante couldn't help but scream. "To dissect her!? What do they think she is some frog!?" He kicked the wall. "Bastards!" He stopped. "Wait, if the military is after Resha wouldn't that mean Zane is also a target? As well as anyone who had extended contact or connections with him? I mean I know Resha's the primary, but surely they must have secondaries."

"Shh!" Media prompted him. "We're trying to keep this from Resha, got it? And screaming won't help!"

She sighed, rubbing her temples. "Zane, they're too afraid to touch. But Resha is his weakness. The amount of potential in him is immeasurable, especially when it's for Resha. But if she dies, he'd end up destroying the military. He has set up, during his prime in the military, a sort of bomb powered by his alchemy to destroy every sector. Of course, he's not alone in that. But nobody knows who's aiding him. They want what's in Resha for that purpose. To subjugate him. He's too valuable for them and if he becomes a puppet for the military, it'll be a too big an advantage. That's what they're aiming for."
