Chimera Nest

Will continued searching.

"I mean, I can't tell her about this. I know she has probably been involved with chimera, but I just think she'll benefit most if I don't mention it. After all, when we first got close, we were attacked by chimera. Its best if I just don't mention it."

Will came across something. He looked closely at it.

"Your choice, kid," he smiled. "Just don't freak out when you find out."

Zane just watched him look for stuff.

"Hmmmmmm............"

Will continued searching, unsure of whether he found it or not.

"Do you still have need for the computer?"

"Nope," he said, giving space for the kid. "Go ahead."

Will continued searching for the name. Somehow, he came across it. He was shocked. Who, and how it happened kept circling through his head.

"What did you find, kid?"

"The person My grandmother turned into a chimera was.... apparently..... my grandfather"

Zane whistled. "I see," he said. "What happened to it then?"

Will read the headline.

"Sally Hawthorne was caught, and charged with creating a human chimera. The chimera was said to be her husband, Johnathan Hawthorne. The chimera killed a couple soldiers before executed on the spot. Sally Hawthorne was imprisoned, where she died due to Illness. Their body's were buried within the wargrounds of the forbidden alchemy they used."

"Hm," he took the information in. Probably hard on him to know.

Will sighed.

"My family is stupid."

"You think?" he laughed. "Can't say a thing on that matter. Resha is my only family, after all."

Will shrugged.

"I think I can say....... im almost ashamed of them."

"That's your call, kid," he said. "I can't lecture you on something I have no great knowledge of. Still," he leaned back. "Before you make conclusions. Ever thought of what their intentions were for doing things like that?"

"No. I have no such explanation. It only interest me more. like I said, /almost/."

Will called forth the book, and began leafing through it.

"Perhaps theres a answer in here. Anywho, im done"

"Go ahead," he said and stood up. "It would've been a lot better to get more information on this."

Will continued looking through the pages.

"This book contains all the memory's they ever had. I think this might be a tiny bit more useful"

"I don't suppose you would let me take a look?"

Will handed the book to Zane.

"go right ahead"

"Thanks," he took the book and browsed through.

"Hey, Will. What are your opinions and thoughts about those who make Chimeras?"

Will ran his fingers through his hair.

"They're scum who deserve to die"

Will looked at Zane.

"That what you think I was gonna say? Sure, some people make them to only spread destruction, but some people have humane reasons for making them. Giving one opinion for all is unfair for others."

Will looked back at the machinery. "but it would be nice to terminate chimera processes all together."

"Oh?" he smiled. "Then let's say we're in the context of, hm... the military producing chimeras as biological warfare."

He leaned back on his chair, placing an elbow on the arm rest and leaned on his fist. "Let's say it's not for humane reasons. They do it because they are told to make them. What do you say then?"

"They do it because they are told to make them" Will repeated. "Again, a comment on that would unfairly judge others. To be truthful...... I have no opinion. I don't know enough to make one. After all, im just a kid."

He smiled. "You're just a kid? Yeah, maybe. But you had your fair share on this experience. I'm not one to underestimate anyone - even a kid, you know."

He thought for a while. "You're a good child, Will," he finally said. "At least now, I can tell you that Resha has been manufacturing chimeras, not only on beasts with beasts but I'm sure she had her fair share of human chimeras."

"Well, all I know is that Chimera's harm and kill people. Thats all I've been exposed to. thats not enough to go and fairly judge anything. For all I know, Chimera's may have saved lives."

Will stood silent, then began to laugh. "You think that would change my opinion on her? She's my big sister Zane. Well, as much as one as she can. The only reason that I reacted the way I did when I found out what my Grandmother did was because she did it to my grandfather."

Will sighed. "I tend to assume things. Being ashamed of them? I don't really mean that. Im just being exposed to so much at once...... it makes it hard to actually think on the matter."

Will looked right at Zane. "People have done things. Good things. Bad things. A flaw with us is that we tend to focus on the negatives. I focus on the good things when I can."
