Makeshift Med Base

In Drachma, the snow littered everywhere in a blanket of white and more white. The fenced area housing tents and tents and tents of many military personnel enclosed business and busyness.

Resha entered Drachma territory in a military jeep, donning a cloak that blended in with the surroundings. She was feeling tired but she continued to replay the mission details in her head. There was still a ways to go till they get to camp.

Drachma had always been a place Dante liked to visit. Although dangerous, the snow was something he loved. He couldn't tell why, but it calmed him. And he needed to be as calm as possible. He looked again at the rank on his military uniform. Like promised, he was promoted 1-up when when he left the military. A Lieutenant. He shook his head as a soldier drove him into the makeshift medical base.

As the vehicle pulled up Dante stepped out and nodded to the soldier. He was wearing the winter variant of the military uniform, a large white trench coat hung from the shoulder straps of his uniform, waving in the wind as it passed. He scanned the medical base quickly, taking in all that was there.

The journey was pleasant despite the not-so-smooth road. It was the only road anyway, so they had no choice. She was just simply wishing they get there already.

So she can perform what she came for and revel in the cold. How she loved snow. Snow meant ice. And ice meant her brother. It was funny how she was able to connect him in all of her thoughts. She supposed, it was unavoidable - he was his only family, her only solace through the many years.

Resha shook her head. The snow made her reminiscent, and as much as she loved her memories (fragmented as it was), she was on a mission.
"Is it still long till we get there?" she asked, she could see the small fog coming out of her mouth as she talked. It was really cold.

"A bit more ways," a soldier answered. "We have to be more careful, more discreet for your safety, doctor Resha."

She smiled gratefully, nodded and fell into silence.

Dante slowly walked through the base, fog appearing in front of him as he breathed. The wind was not strong, but it was enough to make his coat and uniform flap a bit. For an improvised medical base, it was quite up to standards. A few soldiers glanced at him and saluted, although they had no idea who he was. Dante shook his head after returning their salute's. Although the history of the Lightning's Pain Alchemist was known by many, they had yet to learn that he had been brought back.

Although he had been promoted and his other requests fulfilled, the military still didn't trust him enough to give him an actual assignment. So instead, they are going to test him by sending him here to give support however he can. Whether it be combat, defense of the base, aiding in medical procedures, or even leading a small reconnaissance force to keep the base safe. He stopped when he reached what looked like the housing area. He quickly started to pitch his own tent. Like all officer's tent's, it was slightly bigger then common soldier tents. It took a while to pitch but after it was Dante walked in and started to set up his things. He didn't know how long he would be here, so he had prepared for a lengthy stay.

She was tired, really tired, with only her fragmented memories to lull her senses to dullness or sharpness.

And when she was to succumb to sleep, that was when a huge explosion rang through her ears and before thought registered in her mind, she was tossed to the ground, near the base of a tree. And why was it warm, when there's just snow. It was weird.

And that's when she looked up from the ground and saw the jeep burning, but everyone seemed safe, tossed to the ground. Where did the attack come from?

Dante finished unpacking his things and walked out of his tent. He was about to head toward the command tent when he heard an explosion not far from the base. He glanced in its direction and gritted his teeth. "Guess its time to work." He pointed to two of the nearest soldiers. "You two, with me!" He shouted heading toward a jeep. He got in the passenger sea and the soldiers entered as well. "Toward the smoke."

She tried to stand up and with success, she was able to. But not without the stinging pain in her leg. Resha looked at her leg and noticed a trickle of blood but nothing major.

"What's going on?" she thought out loud but the fights of alchemy sounded and the ground beneath her rose, making her alert. She was still unsure and the sounds were becoming fainter.

She looked down only to miss an arrow by the hairline and she fell back.

As the jeep neared the smoke Dante felt himself return to the past. Before he had eft the military. He came back to reality after hearing the sounds of transmutations. As the reached the jeep Dante jumped out and surveyed the scene. Destroyed jeep, a battle, and someone near the base of a tree. “Tend to the wounded!” He cried pulling out Zero.

Resha tried to access herself, pain everywhere in her body as she landed on a tree branch.

"How... eventful," she murmured. The enemies were nothing too amazing, a couple of rogues, no one important.

She would've jumped down and helped but she thought she was safer at the tree, and she really needed to be safe and rational, with no missing limbs whatsoever if she was to operate after all these were done. And she couldn't do that if she ended up dead.

Dante saw that the attack was made by a couple rogues. Besides the explosives, they were poorly equipped. One pulled a gun on him but was met with a 2 bullets from Zero before he could even pull the trigger. As the soldiers began to hel drag the injured away from the carnage, another rogue came behind Dante with a knife. Dante bareley managed to dodge it, the blade cutting a part of his uniform and dropping Zero. He grabbed the mans wrist and threw himself at him, causing them both to fall to the floor. He wrestled the knife from the rogues grip and sent a puch into the mans jaw. It dislocated and gave him enough time to grab the knife and cut the mans throat.

He was breathing heavily as he stood up, dropping the knife and reaching for Zero. He suddenly heard a gunshot and felt a growing pain in his arm. He grasped it and began o run for cover. He took it behind a tree and more bullets flew by him.

The soldiers he had brought with him had finished retrieving the injured and were now firing from behind the jeep. Dante checked the wound on his arm. The bullet was lodged in his left arm. He gritted his teeth as more bullets flew into the tree.

Q: Tell him that his moves are overpowered and need to be toned down. His character should be realistic.

cause transmuting your body to electrocute when in contact is too much, and that would count as human transmutation, somehow, and i'm pretty sure i've never seen a character in fma do that? xD]

It took time before she was able to take out the snow covering the ground. Hastily, she drew a transmutation circle with the base of a sturdy twig and hoped she remembered it right.

"Omnom knows how long since I've drawn an offensive type of transmutation circle," she shook her head. "This is... oh, what the hey. Please work!"

And she pressed her palm on it, the ground momentarily shook before levels of it rose, not quite perfectly, but did its job of distraction and support to her allies and made the enemies stumble on their feet.

Dante heard the sound of a transmutation as well as see parts of the ground rumble. The rogues seemed to become demoralized and unorganized at this new event. Dante took the chance and ran toward where he dropped Zero. As he neared it he rolled, picked Zero up and started running to more cover. He reached the destroyed jeep in time for a couple bullets to pass him over head. The flames on and near it made him uncomfortable, but it was better then being shot.

He waited for the rogues to reload before leaning around the jeep and firing with his right arm. Because of the wound on his left, he couldn't fire as accurately as before, but he managed to get a couple. He ducked back behind the destroyed jeep as more bullets flew above him. He reloaded Zero and looked at the soldiers fighting with him. At least they were doing all right. He continued to fire when the rogues were reloading, taking a few each time.

After that little help, she withdrew to the base of the tree and hugged her cloak to herself. for once, she was glad she had silver hair that blended with the snow somewhat.

She was hoping she'd blend in with the surrounding - pretty much the snow, anyway, till things settle down.

Dante heard a scream as another rogue fell. He checked to see only 3 more were standing and making their way for a retreat. Quickly, he ran out from behind the destroyed jeep and fire 3 rounds in their direction. One of the rounds hit a rogue in the leg and he fell over. His comrades left him there. The rogue that fell aimed his gun at Dante and shot a round, hitting Dante in the shoulder. Dante grasped the wound and shot the rogue, missing the first few shots because of the blood loss.

After that he turned to the soldiers. "Get the injured in the jeep and call for more from the base." He said looking at the carnage. As the adrenaline left him he winced as the pain from the wounds hit him at once. He gritted his teeth and ignored it. "Is there any other survivors?" He called.

The fighting continued and she tried to aid in what she can, performing first aid on those she can but having no stuff tested her resourcefulness.

Then she left the scene, running to the opposite direction when one spotted her and she was just weapon-less at that moment that the first thing that came to her mind was to just flee. She heard a faint voice and caught the waning word "-vivors..." but she couldn't look back now.

But it didn't really help because in a matter of seconds, she was surrounded.

Hearing no voices Dante shook his head. There were survivors but they were still injured. He turned to go check on them when he suddenly stopped. He could swear he heard running. He wondered if it was just a rogue still retreating. He looked back at the injured. The tow soldiers had escorted some to the jeep and they were calling for another jeep. Dante sighed. Maybe he could take a prisoner? He started to run toward the direction h heard the running.

Resha couldn't even shift her weight, too wary to move. The enemies surrounded her everywhere and she preferred to stay alive. She hold on to her cloak, her knuckles turning white from so much pressure.

"We killing her?" one spoke hushed, but she could hear it. Very clearly.

"That's the plan," the other replied. They took their time and it was unnerving. As if it's an inevitable thing, what was to happen to her and they were just playing.

But she had no weapons, not even her scalpel, and it'll be too late before she could draw a transmutation circle.

So she closed her eyes shut. Maybe, there will be a miracle.

Dante saw a group of rogues circling someone. He couldn't tell who it was but it was obvious they meant her harm. There were too many to fight at once. He looked at the transmutation circle on his hand. His vision was blurry from the blood loss.

He shook his head and placed it on the ground. He needed to get all of them at once. He would have to be careful. He could hurt the hostage. The circle glowed as the ground under each rogue erupted into a pillar, sending them flying into the air. He started breathing heavily but managed to stand. “you alright?”

She heard a string of yells and promptly opened her eyes, feeling the ground shake, making her stagger a bit. But she looked around and she saw, somehow, a miracle again.

Resha didn't know how but she was only too grateful for that. Then she heard a voice and turned on her heel to look behind.

"Yes, I'm all right. Who--oh!" she blinked. It was Kotaro! But he didn't look like he was in the best conditions and her medical instincts urged her to run towards him and inspect his wounds.

Dante heard the voice but it came in as if muffled. Now he was having trouble hearing as well as seeing. Great. He dropped to his knees and sighed. He realized he was still grasping his injured shoulder and let go. He managed to get a look at his blood soaked hand.

He heard someone running towards him. He looked up and saw a blur as what looked to be the one he saved from the rogues. His shoulder as well as just under his elbow was shot. The pain was numbed by the cold but he could still feel slight stings on his arm. "Get....yourself to the base. There's jeeps...back there." He said trying to stand.

"No," she said and shook her head - well, typical Kotaro, she guessed and smiled slightly. "You're injured, and you're not going to fight under your conditions," she helped him up. She was hardly any hurt or injured anyway. And trekked back where she came from - at least, she believed so.

"Let's go. I'm the doctor here, and you're supposed to help me back."

Doctor? Dante shook his head to try and clear his vision. He looked toward who was helping him and made out only her face, but that was enough. "Resha?" Was he hallucinating? He had hoped he would not see her while he was in Drachma. Too many things were going on already. He had no idea she was the doctor who was on her way to the base.

She smiled while they walked forward, with her helping him up. "And we meet again, Kotaro," she said, looking straight ahead, hoping it was the right way. But she was more than sure it was anyway.
