A high-rise building, Lobster Food Inc. are known for seafood in cans, in fast food, and everything else. Where lobsters are their specialty.

It's heavily guarded, has the latest technology and lots of water.

Zane stood idly by the trees, the company they were to infiltrate was not so far ahead. It was a very tall building, practically pristine with all the glasses.

He waited for his partner.

Dwyrin siddled up to where Zane stood, unsure of where, exacly, they were in Creta. "Is that the place??" she asked without preamble. "Looks...easily breakable."

He waved to her as she arrived. "Yes, that's the place," he said. "It does, hm?" he looked up. "But even bullets wouldn't be able to pierce them. Normal bullets, anyway. It's designed to look fragile but it's unbelievably heavily guarded for a lobster house."

She set a bag she had been carrying down on the ground, and raised an eyebrow. "Doesn't that seem suspicious to the outside world??" Afetr shaking her head in disbelief, she looked back at Zane. "Do you have any details I should know??" Or maybe ones I shouldn't but would want to know anyway??

[As I told you both on AIM: What gives? Zane is too cheap to take Dwyrin to get real lobster on a date, he's got to steal it for her?]

{Oh my - you can't just go giving away secrets like that}

He smiled. "Well, any company would want to secure their workplace, especially if it's so famous, yes?"

Zane took out a blueprint. "Here's the layout of the building," he said. "Our client is a big shot rival of the Lobster Food Inc. and has been killing their sales - though that's on the surface. In truth, they're involved in the black market; weapon development and the like.

So we're here to get the special recipe."

[oh, shut up. i have my ways.]

"With armed men?? Maybe."

A big grin split her features when he presented the blueprint. It was such a relief to be going into a place with an idea of the layout, for once. The benefits of working with someone in the business, she supposed.

"Where do you suppose they would keep this...recipe, then?? With actual recipes or hidden somewhere inconspicuous?? And surely, we can't just walk right in??"

"Most likely," he smirked.

"The recipe is within a vault - though, I'm not quite sure if it's at the top or if it's underground," he sighed. "The possibility of the vault being underwater is high too."

He took out a uniform. "No, we can't. But we're going in disguised," he tossed her the clothes. "But we should disable the networking first."

Zane had higher hopes for this job - he preferred not being hassled by someone who at the start already blows their cover. So working with another who understands how their job works was a big relief on him.

She mentally shrank from the idea of an underwater vault. She'd have no way to get to it, unless he dragged her - which wasn't a very pleasant idea, but neither was the thought of waiting around outside the vault while Zane went in. Who knew what else could be in there??

I guess we'll cross that bridge when we come to it..

She held up her disguise and laughed. "This is a truly horrid color."

"Well," he laughed. "You're going in as a chemist, the one that handles the lobsters." He looked at the uniform she held out.

"I'll go as one too, but I'll be handling the other fishes," he said and messed up his hair.

Dwyrin sighed expansively. "Just what I've always wanted to be." She wondered if anything in her bag would be helpful for this disguise, then decided on glasses. She pulled them out and stood.

"Well, it looks like it fits," she said taking off her coat and looking at Zane expectantly.

Zane blinked. "Ah," he turned his back on her. "My bad."

He looked at his own disguise and thought more and more of the company to have weird taste. If I remember right, this is the company who made sour crab paste.

She smiled as he turned. "Since we're not sure where it is, are we heading up or down?? I guess we could just wing it. Although we should at least have a pretense for going in."

There we go," she said when she was finished. "I think this is right."

He changed into his disguise as she was. "It's either at the top, underground or underwater - I think it's rather risky to place it on top and a bit too typical underground. If underwater, it can be anywhere at all."

He turned to her when she gave indication, or so he thought. "Oh, cool. ...their uniforms sure look different."

She laughed at his unspecific assessment. "So we're pretty much winging it. Which might be alright. It'll give us a chanceto look around for anything else useful." She was tempted to ask who the client was - out of professional curiosity, of course - but decided that Zane probably wouldn't tell her, even if he knew.

"Different?? What do you mean different??" she asked after sliding on her glasses for the final touch. She pulled various items out of her bag and shoved them in her pockets or hid them amongst her clothes, then tossed the bag into the tree branches over her head, hoping she would be back this way to retrieve it.

He smiled. "Pretty much," he pocketed his gloves. "But there's that; and considering how we do our jobs, we'll be fine." He took out his dagger and tried to find a good place to hide it.

"What weapon do you use and will bring in?" Zane placed his cap on his head and looked at her.

"Well, I guess the mesh of colors?" It was green and brown, with different hues splatted all over.

"If it's actual weapons you're asking about, I've got a few of these," she said. With a flick of her wrists a couple throwing knives slid smoothly out of her long sleeves. Pushing them back into place, she continued, "I've got a few other things that aren't really meant to be used offensively, but they'll come in handy so long as I'm conscious. Which I intend to be." She grinned.

Dwyrin looked down and shrugged. How exciting could the job of a lobster chemist actually be?? Perhaps these odd colors had been chosen to give them some sort of morbid entertainment as they toiled away doing whatever it was they did.

"Well then, I suppose it's about time." She extended her arm in the direction of the building, "After you."

He smirked. "Nice. I'm counting on you then," and just settled his dagger in his pocket. "Just have my dagger," he said, giving her a head's up. And my gloves, but I rather not use alchemy if I can help it.

Zane laughed slightly as she looked down on her clothes and refused to look at his. He nodded at Dwyrin. "Yes," throwing her an identification card and walked towards the building.

She caught the card and pinned it to herself, wondering who the person in the photo on it was. No one had taken her picture in recent years, if she remembered correctly. But it looked enough like her to fool someone, so she didn't bother asking.

Dwyrin followed Zane out of the trees and towards the building. As soon as they were within sight of the people outside, they had their full attention. The most nerve-wracking part of jobs like this was getting in. People that are guarding outside are supposed to be doubtful. Once you were in it was cake - everyone just assumed you belonged there.

She took one last look at her id card. "Sam Stein?? Someone's not very creative. Who are you being today??"

Everyone was looking at them, the guards seemingly doubtful but he acted natural which was to say, aloof. He usually always just find a way to sneak in, never really getting to the hassle of having a disguise but at this mission, it was needed.

He turned to her, smiling. "It's Mikel today," he said and looked forward, the guards in front of them. He just showed them his identification card and they swiped it in and they let him pass.

Walking in, he just waited for Sam to get in.

Mikel, huh?? Better than Sam.

She followed his lead, and just walked in behind him, not having to swipe her card. For some reason she hadn't been expecting a reception room, but that's what they walked into. A man sat behind it, looking at them expectantly. She continued to let Zane - Mikel - take the lead. It was originally his job and she didn't know if there was protocol for this sort of thing.

"We're the new chemists," he said to the man as they stopped in front of his reception desk. "It's Mikel. She's Sam," he briefly gestured to her and crossed his arms.

"Right. We were expecting you," he said as he shuffled documents. "The lobster floor is in the sixth floor. For the fishes, it's on the eight. Any questions?" He stammered, looking nervous.

Zane looked at "Sam". "Do you?"

She felt like she had to ask something, now. But what?? 'Where's your vault??' She didn't see that working. So instead, she poked her head out from behind Mikel and asked, "Is there anywhere we could get refreshments when we're done??"

Always thinking about food... And more reasons to walk around.
The man told them about a small sort of break room outside the main cafeteria on the fourth floor. Sam smiled and thanked the man, then headed for the elevator.

Zane couldn't help but cover his face with one hand to and tried to stifle the laughter at her question.

Well, it was a good way to make them not suspicious. Still, it was funny in itself. He followed her, still wanting to laugh but settled with a smile.

"Smooth, Sam," he said as they entered the elevator. No one was with them. As the elevator doors closed, he turned a little bit serious. "So we part, see what we can find out, then," he pushed the buttons to their floors. "Meet up in the break room. Any revisions you want to make? And questions?"
